A new name is emerging at the top of the Search for a Welsh Racing Star lists.
Steve Handford from Llanelli got back behind the wheel of the Racers' Edge MGZR at the second round of the search and blitzed the opposition with a determined show of controlled and speedy driving. The Formula Kart Stars driver's score of 110 was just enough to steal the lead from Ellis Belton, with the two of them proving to be very competent young drivers.
In spite of tricky track conditions, round two of the Search was a close-fought event behind Steve. Team Principal Tony Brown commented:
"We are finding some very talented drivers out there, some of whom don't even have karting experience. There is a definite enthusiasm for race car driving amongst Welsh youngsters!".
The next round of the Search is scheduled for Thursday 7th June, with private testing and tuition available beforehand should anyone wish to improve their chances. More information from Racers' Edge on 08452 604105.
